About Us
GIL is founded by group of Lebanese activists representing the post-war generation. GIL aims to create common platforms for dialogue among diverse factions to foster mutual understanding, promote citizenship, advocate for human rights, and contribute to relief efforts during times of crisis and military conflict. Although established in 1996, GIL was officially licensed in 1998 under Resolution No. 77/أد. GIL’s legacy is reflected in the unwavering efforts of its dedicated and foundational teams since 1996, who strive to realize even a small part of its vision through various programs. This commitment persists despite the numerous challenges and significant crises faced by our beloved country, Lebanon.
Current Mission
Lebanon is in crisis… the biggest in its history. 1.2 million displaced people have been uprooted from their homes and villages… they need your support now more than ever. Every donation, no matter its size, helps provide essential relief – food, shelter, medical aid, and hope – for those who have lost everything. It is a test of our patriotism. It is a test of our humanity. Let’s succeed the test. Donate now and make a difference!
The Lebanese National Campaign to Support the Displaced is an initiative launched in 2024 in response to the humanitarian crisis resulting from the Israeli army’s indiscriminate attacks on civilians in Lebanon. This campaign aims to provide vital aid and relief to those affected by the conflict, concentrating on three primary areas: humanitarian assistance, medical support, and effective fundraising efforts.
Through this national campaign, the Lebanese society aims to demonstrate solidarity with its displaced citizens, providing critical support and fostering resilience amid the ongoing challenges posed by the ruthless war.
