Generation for the Integrity of Lebanon is founded by group of Lebanese activists representing the post-war generation.
GIL aims to create common platforms for dialogue among diverse factions to foster mutual understanding,
promote citizenship, advocate for human rights, and contribute to relief efforts during times of crisis and military conflict.
Although established in 1996, GIL was officially licensed in 1998 under Resolution No. 77/أد.

United in diversity, stronger through solidarity

“A just society is built when every voice is heard, and every right is upheld”

The Lebanese National Campaign to Support the Displaced – 2024

Lebanon is in crisis… the biggest in its history. 1.2 million displaced people have been uprooted from their homes and villages… they need your support now more than ever. Every donation, no matter its size, helps provide essential relief – food, shelter, medical aid, and hope – for those who have lost everything. It is a test of our patriotism. It is a test of our humanity. Let’s succeed the test. Donate now and make a difference!

The Lebanese National Campaign to Support the Displaced is an initiative launched in 2024 in response to the humanitarian crisis resulting from the Israeli army’s indiscriminate attacks on civilians in Lebanon. This campaign aims to provide vital aid and relief to those affected by the conflict, concentrating on three primary areas: humanitarian assistance, medical support, and effective fundraising efforts.

Through this national campaign, the Lebanese society aims to demonstrate solidarity with its displaced citizens, providing critical support and fostering resilience amid the ongoing challenges posed by the ruthless war.

Values of GIL

At the core of GIL’s mission are the values of citizenship, human rights, and solidarity. GIL advocates for active citizenship, encouraging individuals to engage with their communities and participate in shaping the future of Lebanon. The organization firmly believes in the universality of human rights, striving to uphold and promote these rights for all individuals, regardless of their background. Additionally, GIL emphasizes the importance of solidarity, recognizing that collective efforts are essential in providing relief during times of crisis and military conflict. By embodying these values, GIL aims to create a supportive environment where every citizen feels empowered to contribute to the nation’s progress and well-being.

This sticker was distributed in 2000 across all Lebanese governorates to highlight that the citizen’s right to access information is the backbone of combating corruption and not a privilege granted by any executive authority. It empowers citizens to understand what happens behind the scenes of decision-making and public administrations. After persistent efforts by various organizations, including “GIL”, this right became an enforceable law, Law No. 28, in the Lebanese state in 2017.
You can view the law at the following link: Read More.

This poster was distributed in 1999 across all Lebanese governorates on the occasion of Independence Day to raise awareness that true independence can only be achieved by safeguarding citizens’ rights as guaranteed by the Lebanese Constitution, in order to promote the citizenship that encompasses a set of mutual rights and responsibilities.

This poster was distributed in 1998 in Lebanon on the twentieth anniversary of United Nations Security Council Resolution 425, which calls for the full respect of Lebanon’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political independence within its internationally recognized borders. It urges Israel to immediately cease its military actions against Lebanon’s territorial integrity and to withdraw its forces from all sovereign Lebanese territory.
